Thank you, Amy.

Well seeing as Amy’s birthday is winding down, I thought, as the creator of this fan blog, I would put into my own words why I think she is the greatest and truly one of my personal heroes.

When I was younger, I always thought Amy was the funniest person on my television. During that time, other than my mom, I didn’t really have a whole lot of women that I really looked up to quite like I did Amy. Her creativity in her work and her willingness to try everything has really influenced me in my own life. Especially in this time growing into an adult and moving through life in particular. We hear her always talk about how the rules of improv can be applied to life. About how sometimes, even you’re scared, being brave means sometimes seeking help in other people or trying new things and not limiting yourself. Or never trying to be anyone but who you truly are, whether people like it or not. And that’s something that has really stuck with me and it’s something I try to keep in mind going through times of change. She has taught me that as a girl, I can do anything. I can be funny, creative, smart, feminine, and powerful all at the same time, without having to apologize for it. And I want to thank her for that.

Happy Birthday Amy and thanks again for all your wisdom.
